And just like the clothing and shoes we select for adults, our kids’ clothing is made with an active life in mind. One of the frustrations of being a parent is that our kids insist on growing! We can usually count on buying several pairs of shoes, shirts, shorts, pants, dresses and a jacket or two that will be outgrown in a year or less. It’s better that these items be outgrown rather than wear out prematurely only to be replaced with more of the same short-lived items. Good design and quality materials make the difference in kids’ clothing and shoes. When properly cared for, they can be passed on to a younger sibling, cousin or family friend. And don’t forget kids’ rain boots! On rainy days when puddles call or when it’s time to work in the garden, rubber boots can stand up to water and mud and are easily cleaned for another day.
