Smartwool Supports Feeding Texas
The Covid-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on Texas food banks. As demand has skyrocketed, grocery stores have seen their own shelves emptied and have had little to donate. Food banks and food pantries have been turning to fund drives in an attempt to raise money to purchase food for those in need.
Smartwool is one of the companies that’s answering the call for help. Between May 15th and June 15th, for every full price pair of Smartwool socks purchased at Whole Earth, they will donate $5 to Feeding Texas.
Feeding Texas is a network of 21 food banks found across the state in rural and major metropolitan areas, farming and ranching hubs, technology meccas and industrial border towns. They’re represented in all 254 Texas counties with over 3,000 local partners, feeding more than 4 million Texans annually. Local partners include food pantries that serve as the direct source of supplies for food insecure Texans.
Our customers love Smartwool’s Merino wool clothing and socks. Merino wool, unlike most wools, does not itch. And when Merino wool is blended with nylon and elastane, it results in breathable durable socks. You’ll find Smartwool socks designed with special features for hiking and running, as well as crew, no-show, micro and mini sock styles, for men, women and kids. And they’re beautiful. Smartwool’s designs set their socks apart: classic Margarita stripes, bold patterns and colors, and a special series of socks designed by artists.
If you’ve never tried Smartwool socks, now would be a great time. Not only will you discover the quality and comfort to be had with a pair of Smartwool socks, you’ll also help Feeding Texas feed food insecure Texans. And if you already wear Smartwool socks, stock up now and help feed hungry people.
