Nature Conservancy Check Presentation
Posted by Whole Earth | 12.18.2017A huge thank you to all our customers who donated to Whole Earth’s fund drive for The Nature Conservancy in Texas! Your generosity and continuing support for groups who care for and preserve our treasured lands is amazing.
On December 6th, Holland Jones of Whole Earth Provision Co., presented a check for $5275 to representatives of the Conservancy. From left to right, for the Nature Conservancy in Texas Michelle Lu, Senior Conservation Writer, Anne Zuparko, Associate Director of Marketing and Jacquie Ferrato, Field Biologist and Photographer and Whole Earth’s, Holland Jones.
Your donations will help The Nature Conservancy in Texas continue its work of preservation, restoration and protection. The Conservancy and its partners have preserved nearly one million acres of land and water in the Lone Star State. They are working to restore oyster beds, reefs, barrier islands, coastal prairies and shorelines along the Gulf of Mexico which in turn benefit endangered wildlife like the Ocelot, the Whooping Crane and the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle. Restoring coastal wetlands also helps to protect coastal communities from hurricanes, tropical storms and sea level rise. The Conservancy also works to protect rivers, streams and critical freshwater resources like the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers.
Thank you again for your support.
