We are always on the lookout for quality, innovation and sustainability in the products we offer to our customers. Here are a few of our brands that make us proud.
A high proportion of the natural materials used in the construction of Birkenstock footwear comes from sustainable sources. One of their most important raw materials is cork. The cork layer of a Cork Oak can he harvested again and again without harming the tree. Birkenstock was also one of the first shoe manufacturers to use water-soluble and solvent free adhesives. They use natural latex as the principle binding agent in the production of the footbed and renewable jute to stabilize it.

Their fabric choices are driven by sustainability and dyes are biodegradable. They’ve planted 30 million trees and restored land in eight countries with a goal to plant a billion trees by 2030.
Toad & Co works to minimize their environmental impact and to help clean up the apparel industry which is the fourth largest polluter of air and water on Earth. Toad & Co uses sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled fibers known for low-impact growing and clean manufacturing. They also use recycled and recyclable materials in all of their packaging. They support environmental groups and have sponsored a cleanup in Austin at Duncan Neighborhood Park near our North Lamar store.
Patagonia, a certified B Corporation, is the gold standard for sustainability. They source basic materials that have been produced according to strict environmental standards including the humane treatment of animals and the safety of workers, as well as adopting Bluesign® standards to make the textile manufacturing process itself as environmentally sound as possible. Patagonia also monitors the facilities where products are produced, assuring that there are safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions throughout the supply chain. Patagonia also gives 1% for the Planet to support environmental nonprofits working to defend the air, land and water around the globe.
