Friends of Enchanted Rock Accept Donation Check

Above: Whole Earth founder Jack Jones (right) presenting a check for $3126 to Rick Watson (left), board member of Friends of Enchanted Rock.

More than 1200 generous folks around the state of Texas donated to the signage project at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area through the seven Whole Earth Provision stores, and we at Whole Earth are so gratified that our friends, customers and employees reached into their pockets to contribute these funds to keep this project alive.

We’ve accomplished so much, but the Friends of Enchanted Rock still need your help! Please continue to make donations to the effort directly through the Friends of Enchanted Rock website. Also, take a look at our recent postings about the fund drive here and here.

Whole Earth at the Houston Astros

The San Francisco Giants won the baseball game, but Mr. Hector Garza (pictured below, in center) won a brand new bookpack at a recent game at Minute Maid Park. The Houston Astros honored Whole Earth Provision Company as their ‘Green Organization of the Week’ at the ball game played on August 4th. A contingent of Whole Earthworms (a term of endearment when used to refer to Whole Earth employees and friends) attended the game, some of whom occupied a table on the concourse to tell passing baseball fans about Whole Earth. We also held a drawing for The North Face pack held in this photo by the winner. Hector is flanked by Whole Earth staffers Marc Hamilton (on left) and John Chinnici. Thank you to the Houston Astros for recognizing Whole Earth as a business with a strong environmental awareness.

Friends of Enchanted Rock to Receive Boost to Fund Drive

A huge “Thank You!”  goes out to more than 1200 generous folks around the state of Texas for donating to the signage project at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area through the seven Whole Earth Provision stores. We at Whole Earth are so gratified that our friends, customers and employees reached into their pockets to contribute more than $3100.00 so that the Friends of Enchanted Rock can keep alive a project that otherwise would go undone. The Friends group has not yet reached their goal amount to finish the project, but has won an extension of the deadline to raise the funds.

So we’ve accomplished much, but more is needed to see the task to its conclusion. Please continue to make donations to the effort directly through the Friends of Enchanted Rock website. See the information below for more information.
