Coat Drive Warms Texas
Thanks to all the caring Texans who donated their unneeded outerwear during Whole Earth’s recent coat collection drive. In these economically troubled times, it warms the heart to know that upwards of 150 pieces of very functional outerwear were brought in to Whole Earth stores across the state of Texas and to know that the cold winter of 2008-2009 will be blunted for many folks in need of something warm to wear. These garments have been presented to various agencies for distribution to their constituencies including Genesis Women’s Shelter of Dallas, Star of Hope in Houston, Family Violence Prevention Services of San Antonio, and Austin Resource Center for the Homeless. Be sure and look for donation bins this coming November in all our stores for contributing outerwear again next winter.
